Growing in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, water was always a huge part of my life. From summers spent at the lake to over 15 years as a competitive swimmer, including four years swimming collegiately, I've practically lived in swimsuits for as long as I can remember. I spent over 15 years as a competitive swimmer, including four years swimming collegiately, and nearly a decade working as a lifeguard and teaching children how to swim.

After years of practically living in swimsuits, I knew exactly what I wanted in one: something supportive enough to actually move in, flattering enough to feel confident wearing, and comfortable enough to keep on all day.

But when I stepped away from competitive swimming, I struggled to find a leisure one-piece that checked all those boxes. I was tired of choosing between functional athletic swimwear and fashionable swimsuits that didn't offer the support or coverage I wanted.

So I decided to create something better.

In March 2025, after nearly two years of research, development, and countless design revisions, I launched TANA ANA.

What started as a mission to create a better-fitting women's swimsuit grew into something much bigger. My background in swimming inspired our approach to fit and functionality, while my years teaching swim lessons shaped our commitment to children's water safety.

And the name? That's my favorite part.

TANA ANA was named after my two nieces, who couldn't quite pronounce "Tiana" when they were little. One called me "Tana," and the other called me "Ana." Those two little nicknames became the name of a brand that means so much to me.

Today, every collection reflects the things I care about most: helping women feel confident, encouraging safer experiences around water, and celebrating the moments we share with the people we love.
